Welcome to the
first in a series of regular posts which aims to make the already-quite-simple process of using Deezer even easier.
We’ll share shortcuts, tips and explain in brief bursts the brilliant features which will make your music come alive.
Radio and SmartRadio
Let us guide you to a world of new music with Deezer’s free radio service. Tune into one of our many themed radio channels or make your own bespoke effort based on your favourite artist or
Available from the ‘Top Radio Channels’ panel on our homepage, or in the radio section where you see an image like this:
Choose your favourite genre and be guided though a
radio channel programmed by Deezer’s editorial team. Whether you’re a fan of pop, rock, jazz or metal – we should have everything covered in our Radio menu.
If you find that one of our song choices isn’t to your taste (It’s OK. We won’t be offended. Much.), you can tell the radio station not to broadcast that song any more by clicking on the ‘thumbs down’ icon.
We also have a very clever feature that will help you discover artists similar to the artists you love. Browse the radio wall (genre by genre) and click on the image of an artist you enjoy (or use the search bar). You’ll then hear a radio channel made up of songs from both that artist and similar-sounding acts – let Deezer’s SmartRadio do the work while you enter a world of discovery!
Tip: Don’t forget that you can add all radio channels to ‘My Music’ by clicking on the star beside the radio channel’s name.
That’s it for radio – if you have any more tips you want to share, use the comments below or see our help section.
