We’re excited to tell you about our new partnership with Soundrop, the app that lets you chat with your friends and other fans while enjoying music together. You can even hang out with your favourite artists and ask them your burning questions while listening to their exclusive mixes.

It’s easy to access Soundrop’s social listening rooms through the Deezer App Studio. In addition to dedicated artist rooms, there are also rooms for moods, genres and activities. So the next time you want a soundtrack to waking up, working out, or getting ready for a night out, check out the relevant room and enjoy the perfect playlist curated by music fans around the world. You can suggest tracks you want to hear and vote up your favourites.

To celebrate, this week we’re giving you the chance to hang with top artists from around the world in our special Deezer Room, available exclusively to all Deezer users. Don’t miss out on your chance to chat with Danish music phenomenon Trentemøller, Italian beatmaker Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo a.k.a The Bloody Beetroots, and French producer and PartyFine label founder Yuksek. Access the Deezer Room here.

Daniel Marhely, founder of Deezer, said “Joining a thriving Soundrop room is one of the most unique ways to enjoy music, which is why we’re excited to welcome Soundrop to our growing list of app partners. Our goal is to help cutting-edge music services instantly tap into a global audience of music fans – ultimately helping artists reach potential fans everywhere. By allowing artists to join these rooms, Soundrop creates music experiences you’ll never forget – which is exactly the kind of thing we want for our users.”

French producer Yuksek said “Music’s all about bringing people closer together – not just with each other, but with artists too – without borders or limits. These listening rooms are unique in that people from all over the world can come together and share their experiences of the music they love, and it’s pretty cool that the artists get invited too.”

Dan Ghosh-Roy, SVP of Digital Strategy, Development & Operations for Ultra Music (The Bloody Beetroot’s label) said “We are always looking for new ways to enhance music discovery for our artists and their releases. The partnership between Deezer and Soundrop creates another online destination for music fans to interact and listen to music together, which is the perfect solution in this era of sharing and curation.”

Join a Soundrop room now, or create your own and invite your friends!
