It’s positive thinking day, here’s how to get into the right frame of mind.

Happiness is hard work. Switch on the news at 9 pm and before you know it you’re googling  ‘apocalypse: Survivalist crash course in Utah’. Happiness doesn’t just grow on trees and honestly, we’ve all wanted to punch that Zip-a-dee-doo-dah friend who tells the hater-you to be more positive even though the world seems to be on its last legs. It’s scientifically proven that it’s actually harder to be happier and satisfied in life than miserable, jealous and frustrated. But you’ll be glad to know that happiness is not a unicorn and can be found in ordinary moments. Positivity is like keeping your glasses on your head, you sometimes need to be reminded where they are. Happiness can be found in finding a new song you love, managing a Yoga posture, quitting Instagram for a week to focus on your own REAL, awesome life. It can be a whispered compliment on the pillow in the morning, the smell of coffee, a Will Ferrell movie or just letting go of that toxic person who’s been giving you emotional shit to shovel. Whatever and wherever your happy place is, fly my pretties, fly.
