One Hit Wonders: the songs you wish you couldn’t remember but will… FOREVER.

Ah, the One Hit Wonder! A band’s one breakthrough hit that people remember even if they’d rather not. Generally, the band never quite manage to repeat that success, despite one or two more chart-friendly songs. These artists will rapidly fade back into obscurity, and most likely end up as producers or, if unfortunate really lucky, on reality TV. In the meantime their work of art lives on through drunken weddings and sweet sixteens, and will probably pursue us beyond the grave (is there the “Macarena” in heaven?)

Here are a few old and not-so-old one hit wonders that every dodgy, mullet-bearing DJ in the world will use to get us “lit”.
