Deezer, Believe and D’or et de Platine celebrate Jul album release with exceptional event in Marseille and in-app livestream

6000 fans will be joining Jul at the Dôme in Marseille for a unique showcase and preview of the new album Coeur blanc, livestreamed directly in the Deezer app to audiences in France and all over the world

Paris, France – December 6, 2022 – Deezer is collaborating with Believe and D’or et de Platine to serve up an extraordinary live experience featuring France’s most streamed artist of 2022, Jul. Following the Deezer exclusive in-app livestream of his sold-out concert at the Orange Vélodrome Stadium in Marseille this summer, Jul is delivering another rare live event with the global music streaming service.

6,000 fans are invited to the Marseille Dôme, for an exclusive first listen to selected tracks from Coeur blanc, one day before the official album release. After the preview, the rap superstar will take to the stage for a showcase at 21:00 CET, livestreamed directly in the Deezer app for users across France and all over the world. “Creating new and engaging experiences that connect artists with fans is an essential part of Deezer’s ambitions, now and in the future,” said Nigel Harding, VP Artist Relations, Deezer. “With livestreaming, we can expand the audience beyond the club or arena and give anyone access to exclusive experiences no matter where they are in the world. We’re excited to be a part of Jul’s latest album drop and we’re looking forward to an amazing event in Marseille and in the Deezer app.”

As the home of music, Deezer is committed to innovation and unlocking the full potential of music through technology. This includes the fast-growing livestreaming market, where virtual ticket sales are growing and audiences are showing a clear willingness to pay for quality content. Throughout 2022, Deezer has continued to explore opportunities in the field and recently made a strategic investment when UK-based livestreaming expert Driift acquired Dreamstage.

An extraordinary artist at the top of the Deezer charts
In 2022 Jul is, for the 8th consecutive year, the most streamed artist on Deezer. At only 32 years old, he’s already released 26 albums. With two releases per year, he is unmatched in productivity in France. Jul is also the biggest selling artist in the history of French rap and the second most selling artist in all genres combined over the last decade. He received his 100th gold single this summer.

Jul and Deezer have a long history together. In 2019, Deezer previewed the album “Rien 100 rien” in the streets of the largest cities in France, with a procession of Renault Twingos pimped in the colors of Jul. Fans also had the opportunity to meet him at the Vélodrome stadium in Marseille. In 2020, Deezer also offered exclusive content to celebrate the release of the album 13’Organisé.

Coeur blanc’s – the new album from Jul with an invitation to travel
Cœur blanc, scheduled for December 9, is the 26th album by the Marseille rapper, after the success of Extraterrestre. From Sweden to Nigeria via Russia, the Netherlands, Italy and the Maghreb, JuL will embark on a world tour for this double album, on which he has invited no less than 19 artists from all four corners of the globe.
In anticipation, the one we call “the UFO” delivers “Namek”, a future hit single on which he invites the Nigerian artist Omah Lay: an unprecedented collaboration where the biggest French rapper meets the rising star of Afro-fusion.
