Deezer expands its high fidelity tier with voice enabled services and a broader ecosystem

• First streaming service to offer voice control to high quality audio tier, through partnership with Google

London, August 30, 2017: Deezer, the world’s most diverse, dynamic and personal global music streaming company, today announced that it is expanding its high fidelity audio offering through the integration of voice control and a broader partner ecosystem.

Following the launch of Deezer on Google Home, Deezer is now making its high fidelity service available to wifi speakers which support Google Cast. For the first time, consumers will be able to access Deezer HiFi on Chromecast Audio or on any Chromecast built-in speaker with the use of Deezer’s mobile app. Furthermore, speaker manufacturers that integrate Google Assistant will be able to offer Deezer HiFi through voice control.

Formerly referred to as Deezer Elite, the newly rebranded Deezer HiFi will now, over the next few months, be extending its offering to Sony, Samsung, Yamaha, Bang & Olufsen, Onkyo, Pioneer, AudioPro & Devialet, through Google Cast support or direct integration into partners’ device applications. Previously available exclusively through Sonos, this expansion will enable a greater number of music-loving audiophiles, who prefer the lossless quality of FLAC (free lossless audio codec) to listen to their favourite music the way the artist intended.

In line with the company’s heritage, which is to provide the ultimate lean-back audio experience, Deezer HiFi will, both through mobile and voice command, allow users to access the company’s signature feature Flow – your personal soundtrack of current songs, old favourites and new music. Consumers will also be able to listen to a selection of broader audio content including podcasts, live sports, audiobooks and original content.

Priced at £19.99 / $19.99 per month, Deezer HiFi will offer lossless capture of original analog audio source quality at 5x the bitrate at 1,411 kbps.
