Deezer’s free users can now play tunes on Google Home, Nest smart speakers and displays

Good things come to those who wait. Starting today, we’ve made it possible for our free listeners to use their Google Assistant smart speakers and displays to play their tunes. 

Start by setting up Deezer as your default music service in the Google Home app. Then kick off your music session with a simple “Hey Google, play my music” and enjoy your tracks. 

If you want a lean-back soundtrack that’s personalized to your exact music taste, ask Google Assistant to play your “Flow.” You can also request a playlist, artist, or even just ask for music to fit your mood. “Happy music” always gets us feeling better! 

Deezer Free comes with ads, but you do get six skips an hour. All playlists will also be in shuffle mode and you’ll hear artist mixes. 

“We want everyone to play their favorite tunes at home, even if they’re not a paying subscriber. So whether you like chill out music or working out to the latest fitness playlists, just ask Google Assistant to play from Deezer!” said Nicolas Pinoteau, Deezer’s Director of Partnership Integration. 

Deezer Free on Google Assistant smart speakers and displays are rolling out on Deezer starting today. Fans based in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Spain, the UK and the US can join in the fun.
