As well as creating an Israeli style and sound, Israel’s musicians have made significant contributions to classical, jazz, pop rock and other international music genres over the years. Since the 1970s, there has been huge musical diversity, with Israeli rock, folk and jazz musicians creating and performing both locally and abroad.

Said Phil Moore VP Northern & Southern EMEA: “We are thrilled to be launching into Israel – a country that is at the very forefront of technological innovation. By offering music fans a hugely diverse music library, local artists a global stage from which to promote their music, and with streaming penetration predicted to increase from 1.5% to between 6-9% in the next two years, there is a huge opportunity for Deezer to contribute to this growth.

This, combined with partnering with smart technology companies and key B2B providers, we are confident in both bringing artists and fans closer together and in our future success in the region”.

In the coming months, Deezer will be further broadening its offering in Israel through the roll out of Deezer HiFi, its High Fidelity audio tier and voice recognition technology.
