Deezer Launches In-App ‘Humming Feature’ to Identify Songs Stuck in Your Head
In a first for a global music streaming app, Deezer adds searching by humming, singing and whistling for its SongCatcher functionality in the app
Paris, September 27, 2022 – Deezer (DEEZR) today announced an exciting update to its in-app SongCatcher functionality, adding the option to identify a track by just humming, singing or whistling parts of it. Users can now figure out the name of songs stuck in their heads, and add it directly to their Deezer playlists. Deezer is the only music streaming service in the world with a track recognition feature that includes humming, singing and whistling as a part of its in-app search functionality.

Deezer’s SongCatcher was launched in 2018 and is used on a daily basis to identify thousands of songs around the world. The top 3 most identified songs Globally in 2022 so far are (1) Calm Down by Rema, (2) As it was by Harry Styles and (3) Hold my hand by Lady Gaga.
