‘TIS THE SEASON TO BE CAROL!

FAMOUS CAROLS UNITE FOR THE ULTIMATE CHRISTMAS CAROL
– Watch Carole Baskin, (Smillie), (Thatcher), (Wright) and more sing together as part of Deezer’s new Christmas charity campaign
– The quirky carol cover is raising funds for charity Crisis, to end homelessness
– Carols also share their own festive playlists with fans exclusively on Deezer

Hi all Yule cool cats and kittens! Tiger King star Carole Baskin is leading a north-star-studded performance of ‘Deck The Halls’, as part of global music streaming service Deezer’s ‘A Christmas Carol by Carols’ charity campaign.

There’s ‘snow’ way the nation could have predicted that Carole Baskin, Carol Smillie, Carol Wright, Carol Decker, Carol Thatcher, Carole Parkinson from The Brittas Empire (Harriet Thorpe) and Carolyn Pickles (yes, we know we’re pushing that one) would come together to film the ultimate Christmas carol. Thanks Carols. We needed this in 2020.

From Brentwood, to the Swiss Alps, to a tiger sanctuary in Florida – Carols everywhere dressed up in Christmas jumpers, hats and tinsel to spread holiday cheer and most importantly, raise money for charity. Deezer’s video is encouraging people to donate to Crisis in their fight to end homelessness. There’s a chance to donate either using the link inside the video (here) or even through dedicated banners if you’re a free Deezer user!

As ‘tis the season to be jolly, Carole Baskin, Carol Smillie and Carol Decker have an extra Noel treat for fans. They’ve created their very own Christmas playlists filled with their fave festive tunes, exclusively on Deezer. Well, apart from Carole Baskin who… wait for it… hates Christmas songs. Instead, her cats chose their favourite Christmas songs.

“Christmas caroling is going to be harder this year with social distancing and tiering. So we wanted to find a way to keep people safe, but inject some heavy duty Christmas spirit with this one-of-a-kind performance. We’re thankful to all the Carols helping us raise money for Crisis and want to encourage everyone to watch the video, listen to Carols’ playlists and donate for a very worthy cause. So tag your favourite Carol and let them know that ‘Tis The Season To Be Carol!” said Adam Read, Deezer’s UK & Ireland Music Editor.
