Word Up! Deezer launches podcasts

This week we are very pleased to announce the arrival of podcasts on Deezer, offering over 20,000 shows across news, entertainment and sport. Available immediately in France, UK and Sweden (with more countries being added very soon), Deezer listeners can now listen to a mammoth amount of shows from top-notch podcasts such as progressive online magazine Slate, Monocle 24, The Financial Times, French radio station Radio Nova, French culture magazine Télérama and Sveriges Radio in Sweden.

Listeners can now access the most extensive and customizable audio experience across the globe. As Hans-Holger Albrecht, CEO of Deezer explains, “this move signals our commitment to leading innovation, with a vision of becoming a single destination for audio, tailor-made for each listener.

This is thanks to the incorporation of Stitcher, the leading radio and podcast app acquired by Deezer last October, “Deezer is pairing the best news and entertainment with the largest music catalogue in the world to become the leading service for on demand music, radio and podcasts”, confirmed Hans-Holger Albrecht.

So whether you want to track the latest internet crazes on Slate, discover the latest Sundance film on Télérama, learn more about the history of Funk on Radio Nova, or follow up on the latest UK political shenanigans, you can listen to, learn, be outraged by, laugh at and enjoy podcast shows on mobile and desktop, in our brand new audio haven made just for you.
